June 22, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6800 Southington that occurred about 4:35 p.m. on Saturday (June 20).

The male victim, Carlyon Jones, 5, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dukes and Officer P. Ngo reported:

The victim was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk westbound on Southington when he suddenly darted into traffic. The driver of a gold Dodge Durango, also traveling westbound on Southington, struck the bicycle. The female driver of the Durango was evaluated at the scene and did not show any signs of intoxication.

The investigation is continuing.
