June 9, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found at 5132 Markwood about 4:50 a.m. on Monday (June 8).

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer J. Villareal and Officer R. Lujan reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address. When officers arrived, HFD paramedics were on scene and had pronounced the victim deceased inside the residence.

Witnesses told officers they only heard gunshots but did not see any suspects nor vehicles leaving the scene.
