June 8, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 3300 Elysian about 11:05 p.m. on Sunday (June 7).

The female victim, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roberts and Officer R. Bymaster reported:

The victim was crossing Elysian, not at a crosswalk, and was struck by an older-model, silver Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling northbound on Elysian. The vehicle did not stop to assist the pedestrian and fled the scene. The victim died at the scene.
