Surveillance Video, Photos Released of Wanted Serial Robbery Suspect
July 24, 2015 - Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in at least four robberies that have occurred since June 28 in southeast Houston.
The suspect is described only as a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 230 to 250 pounds, and has been seen wearing sunglasses, a red shirt, brown shorts, tennis shoes and a baseball cap. Three of the robbery incidents occurred at the following Family Dollar locations:
- 1810 Broadway about 1:20 p.m. on June 29
- 804 Telephone about 5:35 p.m. on June 29
- 3411 Navigation about 10:20 a.m. on July 22
The suspect targets employees while they are working at the cash register. As he demands money, he displays a pistol and then jumps over the counter, steals the money and demands money from the safe. In two cases, he has stolen keys to a vehicle and the vehicle. In the most recent case, the suspect robbed a customer inside the business, pointing his gun at a child and taking the mother’s car keys by force.
The suspect is also linked to the robbery of a man at 10202 Forum Park Drive that occurred on June 28 at approximately 3 a.m. In this case, the suspect stole the victim's wallet and car.
