Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11400 Southwest Freeway
July 28, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 11400 Southwest Freeway (South U. S. Highway 59) about 4:15 a.m. today (July 28).
The male victim, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Rossman and Officer M. Reyes reported:
The victim was crossing the Southwest Freeway service road when he was struck by a black Dodge Ram pickup truck, traveling northbound on the service road.
The driver, who was not impaired, was questioned and released.
