Update: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 5625 Antoine Drive
July 16, 2015 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 5625 Antoine Drive about 11:50 a.m. on July 11.
The suspect, Sirtonie LeKeith Curry (b/m, 37), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court. A photo of Curry is attached to this news release.
The victim Shaquille Trayveon King, 20, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Senior Police Officer B. Evans reported:
Mr. King got into a physical altercation with several unknown males at a nearby store. The males fled the location and, a short time later, returned to the apartment complex at the above address. A verbal altercation ensued with King's family members and, at some point, shots were fired. King was fatally struck by the gunfire. The suspects fled the scene.
Further investigation led to the identification of Curry as a suspect in this case and, on Wednesday (July 15), he was arrested without incident.
