Fatal Crash at 4800 North Sam Houston Parkway East
July 15, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 4800 North Sam Houston Parkway East about 1:40 a.m. today (July 15).
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Rossman and Officer D. Lunceford reported:
The driver of a blue Buick Century was traveling eastbound on the Sam Houston Parkway. The victim was standing outside his disabled vehicle, a tan Chevrolet Trailblazer, that was stopped on the Sam Houston Parkway mainlanes. The driver of the Buick swerved but was unable to avoid striking the Traiblazer and the victim. The driver of the Buick, who showed no signs of impairment, was questioned and released.
There are no charges in this incident.
