Fatal Crash at 564 Southwest Freeway
July 13, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 564 Southwest Freeway (South U. S. Highway 59) about 2:05 a.m. on Sunday (July 12).
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer F. Flynn reported:
The victim was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on the Southwest Freeway when he struck the rear of a disabled white Dodge Caliber, stopped in a moving lane of traffic. The victim died at the scene. The driver of the Caliber was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
The investigation is continuing.
