January 20, 2015 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 8711 Town Park #2319 about 9:45 a.m. last Saturday (Jan. 17).
The identity of the victim, 57, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer J. Villareal and Officer V. McLean reported:
Houston Fire Department personnel responded to the apartment at the above address regarding a check on welfare call. The victim's grandson stated the victim did not show up for work and the family became concerned and drove to his apartment. Family members found the front door to the apartment was locked, but the patio door was unlocked. They went inside and found the victim deceased on the floor near the kitchen area.
Investigators believe there are signs of foul play in the death. No signs of forced entry were found in the apartment.
Family members stated the victim had recently purchased a gray, 2010 GMC truck, which is missing from the parking lot. The truck has Texas license plates DZV-4958.
