January 9, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 7900 Betty Boop about 6 a.m. on Thursday (January 8).  

The victim, Cylde Parson, 58, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Senior Police Officer B. Evans reported:  

A witness reported hearing a gunshot at about 5 a.m. while getting ready for work.  As he later drove down the street, the witness saw Mr. Parson lying in a ditch along the roadway.  The witness then returned to his home and called 9-1-1.  HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Parson deceased.  

At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect(s).
