Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 3104 Garrow
February 24, 2015 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal stabbing of a man at 3104 Garrow about 1:40 a.m. on Sunday (Feb. 22).
The suspect, Eric Andrew Martinez (H/m, 23), is charged with murder in the 232nd State District Court. A photo of Martinez is attached to this news release.
The identity of the male victim, 26, of the above address, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Brady and Officer R. Lujan reported:
Martinez and a family member began arguing in the front yard of the residence at the above address. The argument led to a physical confrontation in which Martinez produced a knife and stabbed the victim. The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Martinez fled the scene, but later returned and was taken into custody without incident.
