February 18, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 8520 Bissonnet about 1 a.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 18).

The victim, Donald Ashford, 50, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he is expected to survive his wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Dillingham and Officer V. McLean reported:

Mr. Ashford was sitting at a METRO bus stop, at the above address, awaiting his wife, when he was shot several times by an unknown suspect(s) in a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Jeep. Investigators believe this shooting may be related to a shooting on Tuesday (Feb. 17) at 8300 Twin Hills Drive in which a dark-colored vehicle was seen fleeing the scene.
