Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1115 Potomac

The male victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Kopulos and Officer A. Michon reported:

The victim was driving a black Tesla that was in the garage at 1113 Potomac.  The vehicle rapidly accelerated through the garage and onto the neighboring property at the above address.  The vehicle crashed through a pool wall and into a pool.  The female passenger was able to exit the vehicle, however, the driver did not.

The investigation is continuing.
