Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10600 East FM 1960

The female victim, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Vanderbull and Officer T. White reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing FM 1960 northbound when she failed to yield the right of way to motor vehicles traveling westbound.  She was first struck by a white Ford F-150 pickup truck and then by a red Mazda 3 traveling behind the Ford.  Both drivers remained at the scene and exhibited no signs of impairment.
