Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2902 Almeda Genoa Road
December 16, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 2902 Almeda Genoa Road about 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 15).
The victim, 37, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Arroyo and M. Charrin reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Food To-Go store located at the above address. Further investigation determined the victim was standing at the counter when two male suspects entered the store as part of an apparent robbery. One suspect, armed with a pistol, pointed the weapon at the victim. The two began struggling and the victim was shot. Both suspects then ran from the store and fled in a silver Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Grand Marquis. The sedan had damage to the right front of the vehicle and a non-working passenger-side headlight.
The first suspect is described only as a black male, 18 to 25 years old, with a medium brown complexion, medium length hair and a muscular build. He was wearing a red skin-tight hoodie that had black sleeves and a black stripe on the hoodie. His pants were white with red lettering or designs. The second suspect is described only as a white or light-skinned black male wearing a navy blue ski mask, a black jacket, gray pants and black shoes. A third unknown suspect was driving the sedan.
