Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 13960 Hillcroft
December 1, 2015 - The fatal shooting of a burglary suspect at 13960 Hillcroft about 10:40 a.m. today (December 1) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The male suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The male shooter, 60, was not injured in the incident.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Olive and Officer S. Sylvester reported:
A male tenant was in his apartment when an unknown male suspect forced entry and broke inside. When the suspect raised his hand, holding an unknown object, the male tenant feared for his life and fired his weapon, striking the suspect. The suspect then ran and collapsed. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the suspect deceased.
