Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1300 Dowling
August 3, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 1300 Dowling about 6:20 p.m. on Saturday (August 1).
The male victim, 66, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer O. Sulaiman reported:
The female driver of a silver Nissan Murano was traveling southbound on Dowling and ran the red light at the intersection of Polk. The Murano struck the driver's side of a gray Toyota Camry traveling eastbound on Polk. The Camry then struck a gray Ford Mustang. The driver of the Camry was transported to the hospital and died. The driver of the Murano was not injured. The persons in the Mustang were not injured.
The driver of the Murano did not show signs of intoxication at the scene. the investigation is continuing.
