Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8083 East Freeway
August 3, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 8083 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 11:20 p.m. last Friday (July 31).
The male victim, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer L. Galvan reported:
The driver of a blue tractor trailer truck was traveling westbound on the East Freeway when he struck a pedestrian (victim) who was walking across the freeway. The driver of the trailer truck, who was not impaired, remained at the scene. He was questioned and released.
