April 27, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9100 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 3:15 a.m. on Saturday (April 25).

The identity of the male victim, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer J. Crisler reported:

The victim was operating an orange and black Honda motorcycle when he failed to control his speed and struck the back of a white GMC Sierra pickup truck. The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and struck by two other vehicles. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
