April 22, 2015 - Houston police are investigating an incident in which an HPD officer's patrol vehicle was vandalized and shot at in the 3400 block of Drew about 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday (April 21).
No one was injured in the incident.
HPD Homicide Division Officers S. Overstreet and D. Stark reported:
An on-duty HPD South Central Patrol officer was enroute to a dispatched call for service near the above address when he heard several strikes hitting the outside of his patrol vehicle. Unsure of what the sounds were, the officer drove away from the initial area and then checked the outside of his patrol vehicle. The officer saw several marks and a possible bullet hole in the back of the vehicle.
Further investigation determined the damage came from a pellet gun.
At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.
