April 13, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 5500 Richmond Avenue about 4:15 a.m. today (April 13).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer T. Hines reported:

The victim was driving a beige Ford F-150 pickup truck eastbound on Richmond Avenue when the vehicle left the roadway and struck two trees in the median at the above address.  Paramedics pronounced the driver dead at the scene.  No other persons were inside the truck.

The investigation is continuing.
