April 13, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 8300 South Loop East (South Interstate Highway 610 East) about 4 p.m. on last Thursday (April 9).

The male victim, 62, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where, on Friday (April 10), he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Vanderbull and Officer S. Le reported:

The victim was driving a gray Toyota Tundra pickup truck northbound on the South Loop East when he suffered an apparent medical episode. His vehicle left the roadway and drove into brush and trees on the side of the road.

 Paramedics transported him to the hospital.

The investigation is continuing.
