April 13, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 200 Crosstimbers about 8:05 p.m. on Sunday (April 12).

The male victim, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant W. Shields and Officer A. Mata reported:

The driver of a white GMC pickup truck was traveling westbound on Crosstimbers when he apparently lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree in the median.  His passenger was killed.  The driver, 21, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with serious injuries.  There were no signs of intoxication on the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
