October 25, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 12315 Pineknoll about 4:50 p.m. on Friday (October 24).

The victim, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Semmelrock and Senior Police Officer M. Stahlin reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at the above address. The victim's middle-school-age children came home from school and found her deceased in her bedroom. The victim's car, a 2013 silver or white Nissan Rogue, with Texas license plates DMP8163, was missing from the garage.
