October 17, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 17000 Tomball Parkway (State Highway 249) about 2:05 p.m. on Thursday (October 16).

The male victim, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Kung and Officer C. Cisneros reported:

A white Isuzu box truck and a flat-bed tractor-trailer truck were traveling eastbound on Highway 249. The driver of the box truck failed to control his speed and struck the rear of the trailer truck. The driver of the box truck died at the scene. The driver of the trailer truck, who remained at the scene, was not injured.
