March 28, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 7600 block of Moline about 12:05 a.m. today (March 28).  

The decased male, 22, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant T. Trometer and Officer C. Sartor reported:  

When HPD Southeast Patrol Division officers attempted a traffic stop on a blue Lincoln Towncar, the driver refused to stop. Officers then activated their emergency equipment and initiated a pursuit.  The Towncar lost control in the 7600 block of Moline and struck three trees and a parked Ford Taurus.  The driver of the Towncar was ejected.  Paramedics transported him to the hospital.  No officers were injured in the accident.  

The investigation is continuing.
