June 17, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 9555 Crofton about 1:30 p.m. on Monday (June 16).
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Pool and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported:
The victim was sitting in his wheelchair in the courtyard of the Crofton Apartments at the above address when he was approached by an unknown male suspect and shot several times. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
The suspect is described only as a black male wearing dark pants and a dark T-shirt.
