Investigation into Fatal Traffic Accident at 11600 Haviland
June 9, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 11600 Haviland about 5:05 p.m. on Saturday (June 7).
The male victim's identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Briones and Officer A. Michon reported:
The victim was driving a gold Toyota Tundra pickup truck. For unknown reasons, the vehicle stopped on the tracks and was struck by an approaching train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
