June 2, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8111 South Gessner about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday (June 1).
The victim, Luis Medrano, 38, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers M. Miller and T. Miller reported:
Mr. Medrano was at a restaurant at the above address with his wife and daughters when he got into an argument with an unknown suspect. Security guards escorted both men out of the restaurant. Medrano and the suspect then got into a physical fight in the parking lot. The suspect went to his vehicle as Medrano and others chased him. The argument continued at the suspect's vehicle. At some point, the suspect then shot Medrano and then fled the scene.
