January 28, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in a fatal traffic accident at 6000 Laura Koppe about 6:05 p.m. on Monday (Jan. 27).

The male victim, 82, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His cause of death, which at this time appears to be from natural causes, is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  His identity is pending notification to family members.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Kung and Senior Police Officer J. Howard reported:

The victim was driving a black Ford Ranger pickup truck eastbound on Laura Koppe when he failed to drive in a single lane, left the road, and crashed into a ditch.
