January 27, 2014 - Houston police are investigating an incident in which a man was found unresponsive at 6061 Beverly Hill about 3 a.m. today (Jan. 27).
The male was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants H. Garcia and M. A. Holbrook reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a disturbance at the above address and found a male unresponsive and lying on the floor. He was transported to the hospital by HFD emergency personnel.
A preliminary investigation determined the male had come home intoxicated. When confronted by his wife, the male became violent and threatened her and other family members in the house with a knife. During the altercation, family members restrained the male, who sustained injuries as a result. Family members then called 9-1-1.
All persons involved in the incident were questioned by police. No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
