January 27, 2014 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal traffic accident at 10700 Rockley about 3:40 p.m. last Saturday (Jan. 25).

Osvaldo Chojolan Xicara (H/m, DOB: 11-2-79) is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 208th State District Court.  A photo of suspect Xicara is attached to this news release.

The male victim, 37, of Houston, died at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant B. Rogers and Officer O. Sulaiman reported:

Xicara was driving a red GMC Sierra pickup truck westbound in the 10700 block of Rockley at Wilcrest when he failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a blue Nissan Maxima.  The Maxima was overturned and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  Xicara was taken into custody at teh scene.  He was found to be intoxicated and was subsequently charged.
