January 27, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 12600 block of Hillcroft about 2:30 a.m. last Saturday (Jan. 25).

The identity of the male victim, 30, is pending notifiction to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant T. Trometer and Officer M. Rios reported:

The victim was driving a silver Chevrolet Impala southbound on Main when he disregarded train crossing signals and drove onto the train tracks.  The vehicle was struck by the train and he was pronounced dead at the scene.  No other occupants were believed to be inside the vehicle.
