January 16, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 1450 West Gray about 11:30 p.m. on December 13, 2013.

The male victim was identified as Charles McClendon, 66, of Houston.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Rossman and Officer M. Pritchard reported:

The victim was walking in the parking lot at the above address when he was struck by a black Chevrolet Impala.  He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where, on December 20, he was pronounced dead.  The driver of the Impala remained at the scene and was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
