January 13, 2014 - Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of two others at 6200 Nyoka about 1 a.m. on Jan. 4.
The suspects, Arlin Walbert Barrientos (H/m, DOB: 5-31-93) and Randy Larios (H/m, DOB: 7-23-95), are charged with murder in the 208th State District Court. They are accused in the killing of Wayland Clark, 24, of Houston, who was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants R. Odom and C. Sturdivant, and Senior Police Officers M. Coleman and D. Arnold reported:
Mr. Clark and two other males were attending a large birthday party at the above private residence. Unknown suspects were sitting in a parked vehicle in a business parking lot next to the residence. At some point, shots were fired from the vehicle and struck Clark and the two males. Clark was taken to the hospital where he died. The two other males were transported to area hospitals where they were treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Further investigation identified Barrientos and Larios as suspects in this case. Both were arrested on Sunday (Jan. 12) and admitted to their involvement in the shooting.
