February 24, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 8200 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 3:05 p.m. last Friday (Feb. 21).

The identity of the black male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Elliott and Officer I. Duplechain reported:

Officers responded to an anonymous report of a body underneath the bridge over Sims Bayou at the Gulf Freeway. Upon arrival, officers found the victim had suffered head trauma, possibly from falling from the service road bridge.

The investigation is pending autopsy results by the Harris County of Forensic Sciences.
