February 17, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 6000 Telephone Road about 7:45 p.m. last Friday (Feb. 14).

The identity of the male victim, 68, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant B. Rogers and Officer T. Dougherty reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing Telephone Road, not at a crosswalk, when he was struck by a green GMC Sierra truck. The driver of the truck stopped and was questioned. Officers determined the driver did not show any signs of intoxication.

The investigation is continuing.
