February 11, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 6231 Oakham about 4 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 9).

The identity of the victim, 55, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Robles and Officer R. Ridel reported:

The victim was assaulted by an unknown suspect at a residence at 4603 Jorns. He then went to a friend's house at 6231 Oakham. The victim died from his injuries the next day (Feb 10). He had sustained injuries to his face and body.

The investigation is pending the victim's cause of death to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
