December 10, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 6400 North Sam Houston Parkway East about 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 9).

The identity of the deceased female victim, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer D. Jones reported:

The victim was driving a red Honda Civic eastbound on the North Sam Houston Parkway Toll Road when her vehicle left the roadway, struck a guardrail and then rolled over several times, ejecting the driver. Paramedics transported the woman to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The investigation is continuing.
