October 28, 2013 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 3100 Almeda Genoa Road about 3:10 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 27).
The identities of the two deceased victims, a male, 55, and female, age unknown, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant B. Rogers and Officer C. Cisneros reported:
A red Toyota Corolla was traveling east on Almeda Genoa and a black Ford Ranger was traveling westbound. For reasons unknown, the driver of the Ranger lost control of the vehicle and went into the eastbound lanes where it was struck by the Corolla. The driver of the Ranger was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of the Ranger was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and later pronounced dead. The driver of the Corolla suffered several broken bones and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital.
The investigation is continuing.
