March 25, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 14500 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) about 8:15 a.m. last Saturday (March 23).

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer R. Klemintich reported:

The victim was driving a maroon Nissan Frontier pickup truck eastbound on the Northwest Freeway when he slowly veered to the right, left the roadway, and struck a large light pole.  

No other individuals or vehicles were involved in this incident.
