January 15, 2012 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 9677 Bissonnet about 5:50 a.m. on January 1.
The suspect, Rodrick Odell Williams (b/m, DOB: 5-27-79) is charged with murder in the 180th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Damon Romel Williams, 35, of Stafford, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect and victim were not related.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Meeler and Senior Police Officer J. Sosa reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call outside Cube's Sports Bar at the above address. When they arrived, they found Mr. Damon Williams lying in the parking lot.
Further investigation determined, prior to the shooting, Williams had an argument with several other males inside the club. Several patrons were inside the club and in the parking lot when the shooting took place, however, they all fled the scene prior to the officers' arrival.
Information was subsequently received identifying Rodrick Williams as the suspect in this case. He was arrested on January 10 without incident. Investigators are asking any other witnesses to the incident to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
