January 14, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another at 1200 Cedar Post Lane about 6:20 p.m. last Friday (Jan. 11).

A male victim, 19, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  A second man, 25, also of Houston, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in an unknown condition. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Officer J. Rexroad reported:

The two victims were changing a tire on their car when a red car approached and stopped.  At least one person got out of the red car, approached the two men, and began shooting.  The shooter then got back into the red car and fled.
