February 19, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1415 Greens Parkway about 9 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 18).
The male victim, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Bush and Senior Police Officer R. Swainson reported:
The victim was walking from his apartment at the Fall Lake Apartments at the above address when he was approached by a male suspect. According to witnesses, the suspect and the victim immediately acknowledged one another and then fired shots. The victim fell to the ground and witnesses saw the suspect standing over him. The suspect then fled the area and got into a waiting gray-colored small car. The victim's gun remains missing.
The suspect is described only as a black male about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
