Suspect Wanted, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 9018 Beechnut
August 13, 2013 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal stabbing of a man at 9018 Beechnut about 9:50 p.m. last Saturday (Aug. 10).
The suspect, Julio Cesar Reyes-Gallegos (H/m, DOB: 7-4-82), is charged with murder in the 180th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Demetrio Vasquez-Garcia, 51, of Houston, who was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him dead on Sunday (Aug. 11).

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. VerSluis and Officer J. Rexroad reported:
Mr. Vasquez-Garcia and a suspect got into a confrontation and, at some point, Vasquez-Garcia was stabbed multiple times. He was then taken to the hospital where he later died.
Further investigation and witness statements identified Reyes-Gallegos as the suspect in this case and he remains at large.
