August 7, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2719 South Richey about 11:15 a.m. on Monday (Aug. 5).

The victim, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Burton and J. Rhoads reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a burglary call at the Club Corrales at the above address and found the victim deceased inside an office near the back door. Further investigation determined the victim, who was a handyman for the business, had gone to the club to do repairs and found the back door partially open.

At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect(s).
