October 19, 2012 - A female critically injured in a traffic accident in the 12100 block of Barryknoll about 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 29 has died from her injuries.

The victim, 72, was transported to Memorial City Hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on Oct. 8. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Ogden and Officer C. Cisneros reported:
The victim was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound on Barryknoll and attempted to turn left onto Bettina. The Toyota failed to yield the right of way and struck a Land Rover Range Rover. The victim was critically injured and taken to the hospital and later died. The female driver of the Range Rover, 24, also sustained injuries in the accident.
