Officers with the Houston Police Department Westside Patrol Tactical Unit are being credited with assisting HPD robbery investigators in the arrests of three suspects believed responsible for committing at least nine robberies of citizens in a nine-day period.
The suspects preyed on victims as they were using ATMs in bank parking lots on Westheimer Road.
While conducting surveillance operations, alert HPD Westside tactical officers caught the suspects in the act as they robbed a citizen at an ATM located at 11560 Westheimer about 8:45 p.m. last Monday (Oct. 29). The suspects were apprehended after leading officers on a short vehicle pursuit. Following their arrests, officers recovered two rifles and one semiautomatic pistol in the suspects' vehicle, along with three ski masks and three pairs of black gloves.
The serial robbery suspects, Jamarcus Terrel White (b/m, DOB: 6-20-86), Andre Nathan Howard (b/m, DOB: 7-19-91) and Warren Anthony Howard (b/m, DOB: 1-20-85), are charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 209th State District Court. White and Andre Howard are charged with multiple counts of aggravated robbery. Photos of the three suspects are attached to this news release.
The three are believed responsible for robbing citizens in the following incidents:
- Oct. 21 – about 10:20 p.m. at 11560 Westheimer
- Oct. 23 – about 9:15 p.m. at 10420 Westheimer
- Oct. 23 – about 10:05 p.m. at 10420 Westheimer
- Oct. 23 – about 10:30 p.m. at 10118 Westheimer
- Oct. 25 – about 9:05 p.m. at 8081 Westheimer
- Oct. 25 – about 10:25 p.m. at 10101 Westheimer
- Oct. 27 – about 10:10 p.m. at 8384 Westheimer
- Oct. 27 – about 10:35 p.m. at 10411 Westheimer
- Oct. 29 - about 8:45 p.m. at 11560 Westheimer
The suspects robbed victims at gunpoint of cash and numerous items, including cell phones, purses and wallets while the victims were using ATMs outside of banks. Fortunately, none of the victims was seriously injured.
