May 29, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred in the 2700 block of North Durham at 4:15 a.m. on Saturday (May 26).

The victim, Adrian C. Rodriguez, 51, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Thomas and Officer T. Tran reported:

Mr. Rodriguez was driving a silver Toyota Camry southbound in the 2700 block of North Durham at a high rate of speed when he struck a curb on the west side of the street.  He then went airborne and lost control of the vehicle, striking a metal rod fence on the southwest corner of the street and then a tree.  No other persons nor vehicles were involved in this traffic accident.

The investigation is continuing.
