July 30, 2012 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 237 West 18th Street #4 about 11:05 p.m. on Sunday (July 29).

The victim's identity and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer J. Villarreal and Officer J. Horn reported:

HPD patrol officers and HFD paramedics responded to a welfare-check call at the above location and found the victim deceased on the kitchen floor inside the apartment.  HPD Homicide investigators then initiated an investigation into the victim's death.
